Kayak Launch
The Port donated use of property at our Ludwig Lane site, immediately west of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Oyster Hatchery. All funds for the construction were donated by Friends of Grand Isle, CCA, a Ride the Bull Kayak Tournament and statewide kayak clubs.
Public Fishing Pier
The Port recently constructed a public fishing dock on the island’s bayside. The dock is handicapped accessible, has night lighting and is equipped with video security. It is located on the west side of the commercial shrimp dock on Smith Lane. Follow the signs coming in from Smith Lane, and turn left immediately before the Louisiana Dried Shrimp building.
